Diabetes effects millions of people in the United States. And we find a surprisingly high number right here in Seattle who desperately need our help. People who are suffering with neuropathy, foot ulcers and poor circulation; people seriously at risk for losing a foot or leg.
At the Comprehensive Diabetic Foot Health Center of Seattle, (CDFHCS) we utilize state-of-the-art techniques to identify a patient's risk for developing an ulcer, a condition that left untreated or treated improperly, can easily lead to amputation of a limb. We perform circulation testing to see that limbs are receiving adequate blood flow and provide tenacious management of wounds on the foot or ankle.
We prescribe proper footwear and foot thermometers for our patients with Diabetes to ensure proper foot support, prevent
pressure spots, and increase the chance of early detection of sores
on the foot.
This is only a portion of the effort it takes on the part of physician
and
patient to keep limbs in their rightful place. Be sure you can keep
on fishing
with your grandson or dancing with your sweatheart.
Decide today to take an active role in your own good health.
